SEND - Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

Manor Infant School is a mainstream school setting.

School SENCO staff - Ms Emma Dare (Headteacher) & Mrs Fiona Maskill - they can be contacted via the school office.

At Manor Infant School we believe that all children should be fully integrated into school life. We believe all children are entitled to have access to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum and the right to contribute their views. We believe parents should be given the opportunity to be active partners in their child’s education.

On joining our school a transition meeting will be arranged if appropriate, inviting parents, children if appropriate, previous teachers or pre-school and any specialists involved in provision. This meeting is held so that we may build on children’s previous experience, knowledge, understanding and skills. Children may be invited to introductory meetings to meet their teacher and other pupils to become familiar with the environment. Outside agencies may also be consulted to ensure that everything is in place to ensure a smooth transition with minimum disruption for the child.

Details can be found in the school Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Information Report below.
