Personal, Social and Emotional Development
We support children’s personal, social and emotional needs through our PATHS activities (Promoting, Alternative, Thinking, Strategies). These teach the children to recognise their feelings and to regulate their emotions through a variety of strategies. PATHS also improves self-esteem by teaching children to give and receive compliments.
To prepare our children for the demands of the 21st Century we use “My Happy Mind” to create a positive mental wellbeing culture in which children build resilience, self-esteem and character.
The children use 'Zones of Regulation' to understand there are no bad emotions and to express how they are feeling. Children learn healthy coping and regulation strategies to independently recognise and respond to how they are feeling.
