SMSC

At Manor Infant School, our pupils Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development is at the heart of everything we do. We aim to develop the whole child, helping children to grow and develop as people in today’s modern world. Through a cross-curricular, thematic based curriculum we equip our children with a moral compass and positive values in order to thrive in a rapidly changing society. At our school, SMSC learning encourages and develops successful learners who are confident in both their learning and relationships with others. We prepare our pupils to become thoughtful, responsible, engaged members of society.

SMSC is promoted as a whole school as well as being taught through all subjects of the curriculum. We firmly believe that every child deserves the very best and we have high aspirations for all of our children at Manor Infant School.

British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those of different faiths and beliefs are promoted throughout out SMSC development.
