‘Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all practitioners should make sure their approach is child centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.’ KCSiE

We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment underpinned by a culture of openness where both children and adults feel secure, able to talk and believe that they are being listened to. We maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” where safeguarding is concerned.

Children's Learning

Children are different:

• Each child has a distinct personality
• Each child has their own strengths
• Each child's growth rate is different
• Physical abilities are different
• Language skills are different
• Life experiences so far are different 
• Cultures are different

And so you shouldn't be surprised to know that the learning journey of each child is different.
