Relationships & Health Education

From September 2020, all primary age children will be taught Relationships and Health Education. At Manor Infant School, Relationships & Health Education is included within a carefully planned PSHE programme, taking account of the children’s age and needs.

We want all children to grow up healthy, happy, safe, and able to manage the challenges and opportunities of modern Britain. These subjects are designed to equip your child with knowledge to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships as well as preparing them for a successful adult life.

We have structured our PSHE programme around an overarching question for each half term using What? and Who?  The three core themes from the PSHE Association Programme of Study are fully covered – colour-coding highlights whether the overall topic focus is Health and Wellbeing (green), Relationships (red) or Living in the Wider World (blue), although some half term blocks will draw on more than one core theme.

As part of our parent consultation, we wish to share our draft RSE policy with you and welcome your feedback on our curriculum. Please see the links below for more information and to find a link to the parent survey where you can send your feedback. Thank you.
